Commissioned by Thomas Snow of Cleve (1748–1832) and sold in 1952 by his great-great-granddaughter, Beatrice Stella Llewellyn of Tavistock and Sloane Court, London SW3 (b. 1893), to the present owner, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter.
