Three drawings of Lake Maggiore were exhibited in 1805 (120, 121, or 122, as Lake of Maggiore). Two sheets from the small sketchbook Towne was using at this point in his travels (FT312, FT313) may well have been among these, but this still leaves one of the three unaccounted for. The monochrome sketch of Lake Maggiore from Laveno (FT350) is an unlikely candidate.
