Towne contributed seven lots to Christie’s to be auctioned on 25 March 1808 “for the charity benefit of an artist”, possibly Robert Freebairn. Lot 91 was Manturogg, with a reserve of £1 10s. 6d. It was perhaps a version of FT085.
