This is a version of a drawing of Mynydd Mawr dated 1777 (FT091). Mynydd Mawr is a mountain on the edge of the lake, Llyn Cwellyn, on the west side of Snowdon.
Clearly the inscribed date is not 1818. It is suggested here as the 1797 exhibit on the grounds of its subject and style, which is close to a Tivoli oil painting dated 1800 (FT617).
