Exhibition History
[?] Exhibition of Original Drawings at the Gallery, No.20 Lower Brook Street, Grosvenor Square, 20 Lower Brook Street, 1805, no. 20 or 21 as 'The Wrekin in ditto [i.e. Shropshire] going off of a storm'

Towne exhibited two views of the Wrekin in Shropshire, but only one composition survives (known in three versions, FT067, FT397, FT398, with dates of 1777 and 1783). The 1777 version may well have been exhibited in 1805, but the remaining exhibit is lost.
