Provenance
This drawing was untraced until 1982, when it was observed in the collection of Cornish Torbock (1905–1993), whose heirs sold it at Sotheby’s on 14 April 1994, lot 55, for £2,500, whereafter it is untraced (it was in a “collection particuliere” in 1998). This or FT538 are probably BP205. Now in the collection of Winchester College.
