Montague Meyer ( - 1961)

Montague Meyer founded a timber business in 1906 which later became the world's largest importer of wood. Parts of his collection were sold during his lifetime, including drawings at Sotheby's on 27 March 1946. His daughter-in-law, the American Fleur Cowles, was also a collector of paintings. It is unclear how he acquired his three Towne watercolours.
